Description: The Digital Clock display is an enlarged simple clock with the circuitry exposed. The exhibit has had the electronic traces replaced with glowing fiber optic cable to demonstrate the flow of electricity through the circuitry. This is a rare and unique way to look at how digital devices (and any electronic devices) really work. It allows the guest/user the unique experience of being able to 'see' what is happening. The exhibit includes controls to be able slow things down, speed them, step through one byte/step at a time. Graphics along the side of the exhibit explain what is being seen and how the different components work, but of course for the more enthusiastic guest there is an interactive heads up display that explains each component in further detail, all the guest has to do is touch any part of the exhibit and the heads up display will bring up more detailed information about it. This can be done because ElectroExhibits Inc. proximity detection buttons are hidden within and underneath the components within the clock. These buttons sense the presence of a person and activate when a body part comes within close proximity of it. This allows for a slick and sophisticated finish on the product. Key Features: - Enlarged display - Interactive controls including pause, step forward, step backward, slow down, and speed up - Buttons on the device are ElectroExhibits designed proximity buttons with no moving parts and high reliability - Computer with independent interactive presentation (a guest only needs to touch a component and the computer will explain) - Fiber optic glowing wire to show electricity flowing through the circuit path for educational purposes - Super bright LED's and heavy duty glowing wire are used to accommodate bright areas in existing venues - High-tech microcontroller integration for flexible control and reliable operation - Modular circuitry with electronic test points for easy replacement and troubleshooting in case a problem develops - Circuitry is custom built for this application from the ground up so there are no redundant or improperly mixed technologies for both hardware and software - Display area is covered with angled Plexiglas to protect individual parts of the display and prevent dust/dirt from settling - 1 year standard warranty Educational Content: - Binary counting - Digital circuitry - Light Emitting Diodes - Fiber Optics - Basic Math - Simple introduction to electronics |
